Unfortunate NERD Excitement

The last time that I built a computer for myself was back in December of ‘02. And back then it was a decent machine, it wasn’t something to nerd brag about by any means.

So I decided to bite the bullet and get myself up to snuff. My current home machine is getting embarrassing to claim as my own. Here is what I decided to go with:

  • Intel i7 processor
  • ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 mobo
  • 6GB DDR3 1600 RAM
  • Antec case and power supply

I know those aren’t the complete specs, but you get the idea.

I have to use 64-bit Vista on the new machine until Windows 7 makes it way out of beta. Which should be interesting because I have been able to avoid Vista completely since it came out.
